engineering and with specializations to produce skilled
workforce suitable to chemical and allied industries.

interaction suited for chemical and allied industries.

To develop a complete chemical process technician trained to be competent, ethical and professional leader who keeps pace with advanced process technologies with quality control applied in chemical and allied industries.

Program Educational Objectives (PEOs):

PEO-1: Preparation towards Employment/Higher Studies:

The Primary Objective is to produce best Diploma in Chemical Engineering technicians by studying growing needs of the industries in modern topics which will be also useful to the higher-level studies.

PEO-2: Core Competence:

To prepare the students towards core chemical Engineering skills. To expertise the student in practical content, communication skills, latest developments.

PEO-3: Breadth - 'T' Shaped Supervisor Engineer:

To give the depth of related skills and expertise in a single field, and the ability to collaborate across disciplines with experts in other areas and to apply knowledge in areas of expertise other than one's own to prepare the student as a 'T' shaped Engineer in the Supervisory cadre.

PEO-4: Professionalism - 3 Ps - Professional value-Knowledge development:

To promote the students in Professionalism, Personality and Presentation through the successful completion of the Diploma in Chemical Engineering by emphasizing through filled Practices in Industry.

PEO-5: Life Long learning – Environment:

To promote the student’s life-long self-learning abilities.

FACULTY PROFILES

Diploma in Chemical Engineering (Oil Technology)

 

The course is of sandwich pattern with duration of three and half year tenure. The first two years of study is at institution level and the third year is industrial training. The last six months is final semester and after completion of this semester the students completes his course. Emphasis is given on all the areas of Chemical Engineering like Fluid mechanics, Mass transfer, Heat transfer, Mass and Energy Balances, General Chemical Technology, Thermodynamics, Instrumentation and process control, Mechanical Unit operation etc. Special emphasis is given on the subjects like Technology of vegetable oils and fats (both theory and practical).
